Sylwia Long is a photographer / graphic designer / artist, born in Poland and currently based in Wales. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands and works as a freelancer, focusing on both photography and design.
In her artistic endeavors, she explores the nature of the human condition – vulnerability, boundaries between self and others, contentment and discontent, and connection with oneself.
Nature is also an important source of inspiration for her, which is why she often practices mindfulness in natural environments to slow down and recharge.
Sylwia sees photography and design as catalysts for change, and she wholeheartedly promotes awareness, well–being, sustainability and social justice. She is also passionate about the power of visual images to help us overcome our limitations and fears, and to find a fulfilling mindset.
Beyond photography Sylwia is driven by love of organic materials, and creates floral designs – SILKU FLORAL TYPE – a blog strongly inspired by typography and mindfulness.
