Sylwia Long is a photographer/graphic designer/artist, born in Poland and currently based in South Wales. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in the Netherlands and works freelance, focusing on both photography and design.
Her artistic endeavours explore fundamental aspects of the human condition—vulnerability, interpersonal boundaries, contentment versus discontent, and connection with oneself.
Nature is also an integral part of her creative process, and she often practices mindfulness in natural surroundings to slow down and replenish herself.
Sylwia sees photography and design as catalysts for change, and through visual storytelling, she advocates for resilience, awareness, sustainability, and justice. She believes that visual images are empowering tools, helping us transcend our limitations and develop fulfilling mindsets.
Beyond photography Sylwia is driven by love of organic materials, and creates floral designs – SILKU FLORAL TYPE – a blog strongly inspired by typography and mindfulness.
