Sylwia Long (aka Sylwia Ku) is a versatile artist / graphic designer / photographer, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Art in the Netherlands. She works as a freelancer in both design and photography, enjoying collaborations with non-profit, cultural and educational organisations.
In her encounter she reflects upon the nature of human condition - vulnerability, boundaries between self and other, satisfied or discontented, and connection with the self.
Nature is also an important ingredient and source of her inspiration, where she often practices mindfulness to naturally slow down and replenish herself. She believes that Mother Nature has healing qualities, and rarely gives us what we want, but almost always gives us what we need.
Besides photography Sylwia is driven by love of organic materials, and creates floral designs-SILKU FLORAL TYPE- a blog that is strongly influenced by typography and mindfulness.
In her eyes photography and design are catalysts for change, whether this is creating awareness, wellbeing, sustainability, or justice. She is very passionate about the power that visual image has to help us overcome anxieties, and find a positive outlook on life.
